This temple, consecrated to the goddess Hidimba (or Hirma) Devi, is built on a huge rock and is surrounded by a forest of cedars. The structure of the Manali Hidimba Devi temple was built in 1553. The temple of Hidimba Devi presents the traditional formal characteristics of the pagodas of Himachal Pradesh. The base of these temples used to be built with shikhara, a stone from the area, and they were usually surrounded by stone ornaments or amalakas. On this base, the roof rose, formed by several volumes that traditionally were covered with tiles of deodar (cedar of the Himalayas) and that now they are accustomed to cover with slate. Currently, the lower stone base of the Hidimba Devi temple no longer exists. At present, the structure has a height of 20.50 m high.
